Stourbridge IA

Stourbridge IA is a patient led support group whose primary aim is to provide help, support, non-medical advice and friendship to people who have had surgery to remove their large bowel and to provide support for their families. We welcome and encourage our members to bring along a partner or friend to our meetings.

We work closely with the Colorectal Nursing Team at Russell’s Hall Hospital. We can provide realistic and practical non-medical advice from our own experiences of living with an Ileostomy or an internal pouch.

Through our network of members we can also offer support to people who have undergone stoma surgery resulting in a colostomy or urostomy.

We meet bi-monthly at the Clinical Education Centre of Russell’s Hall Hospital. Our meetings are varied in content from medical topics, appliance exhibitions, sometimes with talks on leisure or medial topics from local knowledgeable people. Everyone is sociable and ready to have a chat over tea and coffee. Our forthcoming meetings can be found on the events page.

If you would like further information, then please contact the secretary either by telephone on 01562 755630 or by email at [email protected]
